Free and Pro
Free includes 5 timed runs per calendar day with all core timing features: open timing, par practice, sensitivity controls, fixed and random delays, current-run splits, and corrections. Pro is one permanent in-app purchase that adds unlimited runs, custom drills, saved history, trends, CSV/PDF exports, up to 20 automatic par repetitions, and inactivity auto-stop. The app displays the current Apple App Store or Google Play price in your currency before purchase. There is no subscription.
Restore Pro
Open Get Pro (or the Pro badge), then Restore Purchases, using the Apple Account on iPhone or Google Play account on Android that made the purchase. Pro purchases are separate on the two platforms. An internet connection may be needed. A pending purchase unlocks after the relevant store approves it. If the store is unavailable, retry later. Restoring a purchase restores access, not deleted training data.
Better detection and audio
Keep the phone near you with the microphone uncovered, and allow calibration to finish without gunfire. Use Check detection (Timer tab, Range filtering) to see live microphone levels, test with a clap, and adjust sensitivity. After each string, much quieter detections are set aside under Not counted. Review them and add back any shot that was yours. You can also remove a counted detection that was not yours. Check detection does not use a free run. Wind, echoes, adjacent bays, cases, device placement, and audio routing can affect detection. Use Test beep before starting. If the audio route changes during a string, stop and restart. A phone timer is a practice aid and is not a substitute for an approved match timer.
Dry fire
Choose Dry fire on the Timer screen for snap-cap and striker clicks. Use Check detection to adjust sensitivity before practice. Live fire and Dry fire keep separate settings and history. For dry fire, unload the firearm, remove live ammunition from the practice area, and follow the firearm manufacturer’s guidance.
Range safety
Always follow firearm safety rules, your range’s rules, and range-officer instructions. Secure the phone where you can operate it safely and keep its microphone uncovered. ShotSentry is for practice; detection is not guaranteed in every environment.
History and deletion
Free sessions are not saved. Pro history stays on this device; there is no cloud account or sync. Use CSV or PDF export to keep a separate copy. Clear saved history in the History tab. To remove all local app data, delete the app, taking Apple's backup settings into account on iPhone. Android app data is excluded from cloud backup and device transfer.
